It’s that time of the week again where I try to remember everything I did in the past 7 days! I really should start writing stuff down during the week.
Beginning of the week my friends and I met up to do homework as we always do! And we showed my friend’s cat the world of the apartment building common areas. He did pretty well, very obviously skittish but he was being a brave boy.
The middle of the week was nothing super special, but Saturday it was my turn to be brave. I went out with some friends to get lunch, thrift, and visit… Spirit Halloween.
Now little fact about me; I am a WIMP. I don’t like scary decorations, horror, gore, any of it. But I don’t want to be paralyzed by fear every October, so I’m trying to slowly expose myself to that kind of stuff. Key word slowly. I absolutely hated the creepy clown animatronic thing that was right smack dab in the front, but I got through it! And I’m proud of myself for that. I do think Halloween stores should be structured differently though (I know, I don’t love the scary part of Halloween, i have no soapbox to stand on). I think the costumes, especially kid costumes, and not the gorey or super scary decorations should be in the front, and then as you go back the costumes and decor should get scarier and more intense, with the animatronic decorations all the way in the back.
But! After my Spirit Halloween bravery, we went to a little Korean restaurant called Dae Bak, and I got some of the best chicken fried rice I’ve ever had! And we found a super cute little market of Chinese groceries, gacha games, super pretty jewelry, and a bunch of other stuff! I really wanted to get one of the kits to build a miniature store, or a bookend, but I couldn’t justify the $40 price tag. Someday though! I’d like to get into miniature-making at some point in the future, it just seems like an expensive hobby.
Anyway! That was my week(end). I’ll give y’all another update next week!
