This week I finally finished a meet-the-artist drawing for my social media! I made one years ago but so much has changed and it needed an update. So here it is! I wanted to add a “what’s in my bag” section but I wasn’t sure I could fit it in and I didn’t want to force it.
So here I am! And why not go over some of my likes and dislikes (the ones that I can talk about anyway. There’s not much to say about Cherry Coke or oranges)

High Fantasy: I never grew out of my princess phase. If I’m reading or watching something in my free time, something about people or events that don’t exist, why would I stay in this world when there are worlds where magic exists? That’s much more fun. I love watching and reading media that’s super high fantasy; I’m currently reading We Hunt The Flame by Hafsah Faizal, which I highly recommend! The entire world of the book is based on Middle Eastern cultures rather than the normal Medieval Europe-inspired setting, which is really interesting. I also have some stories I’m working on that are very high fantasy, maybe I’ll talk about them sometime.
Flower Symbolism: So we all know roses mean love, right? But there are so many other flowers that mean something! I have a couple of books on floriography and I like incorporating flowers into my art. Last Father’s Day I made my dad a bumper sticker of a bunch of different flowers that essentially means “I love and admire you, dad.”
Pokemon, The Sims 4, & DnD: My favorite games! I got into Pokemon in elementary school with the Black & White Anime, but I didn’t actually play a game until Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee came out – I never had the games for my DS, I exclusively played Cooking Mama. I played Sword and Shield when it came out, and I liked them both! I wanted to play Scarlet and Violet, and I bought Scarlet, but I didn’t realize that when I got the Nintendo Switch Lite for college, it doesn’t have enough storage for the game… So I have it! I’ve just yet to play.
The Sims 4 I got into in high school and it’s been old reliable… I’ve gone through a lot of phases with it, and past me kept accidentally deleting my saves so despite having over 500 hours in the game I don’t actually have a lot to show for it. I’ve been getting into the world of custom content recently, and I’m considering putting some 3D model skills to work to make my own? I’m a bit swamped with school right now but the idea sounds fun.
And out of the 3, I have the shortest history with DND. Last year I was playing with a group of friends from high school, and unfortunately, our games have been put on pause while we’re all busy, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it! I love all of my little characters so much.

Peanuts: Fun fact about me, I am deathly allergic to peanuts! I’ve been since I was born, so no I’ve never had peanut butter. It doesn’t bother me tho, can’t miss what you never had and also would kill you.
Gore/Horror: As I said in the Weekly Recap 8/4-8/10, I am a WIMP. Example: when I was 13 years old, my parents had to hold me down on the couch to get me to sit through Ursula in The Little Mermaid. It’s bad (but I can sit through Ursula now I actually like her a lot). It just comes down to I don’t like to be scared. And horror movies will stick with me for days or weeks; I can’t just put them down, I will be paranoid and looking over my shoulder for a demon or a clown for a long time afterward. As for gore, I just don’t like to look inside of people. If on a “typical” person, it would be covered in skin, I don’t want to see it. It’s part of why I could never be a doctor, I would not be able to get through medical school. I can’t go into the room at the Franklin Institute with the giant heart, it freaks me out that bad.
